The Virginia Beer Company features its own parking lot located at the brewery (401 Second Street). The lot features 50 individual parking spots. In addition, six of the spots may be converted into three spots suitable for bus parking. If you anticipate arrival with a large group in a bus, please contact us in advance. We will do our best to reserve a bus parking lane but cannot guarantee reserved parking for buses, especially without advance notice.

As the lot can fill up quickly, please refrain from double parking in other customers and employees. In addition we need to keep the food truck pull-in (located adjacent to the beer garden) open for deliveries and our food partners. The open areas of the lot need to be kept open for deliveries and emergency vehicles, so we thank you in advance for utilizing striped parking spots and parallel parking locations. Vehicles that are double parked, parked in open areas, or parked in the food truck pull-in will be asked to move and may be subject to towing.

If you are a local, the use of alternate methods of arrival and carpooling are always appreciated! There are sidewalks leading in all directions to/from the brewery, and we are an easy walk from downtown Colonial Williamsburg! While our bike racks are not yet installed (but will be coming soon!) we have numerous posts around the facility to use for chaining up your bicycle in the meantime. The WATA bus route runs near the brewery and we would also suggest ride share options such as local cab companies, Lyft, and Uber.

At times the lot can fill up quickly and we continue working with our neighbors on spillover parking options (see below):

Weeknights (after 6 pm)

  • Ebby's Auto Painting & Collision Repair - Located next door. Lot parking available. Cars parking earlier than 6 pm or left overnight will be towed during Ebby's business hours.
  • Speedway - Located next door. Parking available behind the gas station. Cars parking earlier than 6 pm or left overnight will be towed during Speedway's daytime business hours. Please note: if you park at Speedway, you must purchase something from the gas station convenience store or they may ask you to leave. Please join us in supporting our neighbors as they support us!
  • If Ebby's and Speedway are full, additional parking can be found nearby at:
    • the Ramada (500 Merrimac Trail),
    • McDonalds (329 Second Street),
    • and the Velvet Shoestring building (311 Second Street).
  • Please do not park in a neighboring business lot during their operating hours or you may be towed!

If you do end up driving and need to park elsewhere, please be respectful of our neighbors. While they are open to helping us with spillover needs we would like to keep their lots clear when possible! Please refrain from parking in a neighboring business lot during that business's operating hours or you may be towed. The Virginia Beer Company is not responsible for any personal property left in a vehicle or for vehicles parked in lots associated with other businesses.

Lastly, we want everyone to be safe & smart! Please be careful when walking through lots or crossing streets. If you need to leave your car, please let us know. We'll gladly recommend public and alternate means of transportation and want to make sure that your experience with us is a fun and positive one. We look forward to welcoming you to 401 very soon. Cheers from Williamsburg, VA!
